Position Title: Design Engineer 1 - New College Grad 2025 - 2026

Job Description

We are seeking motivated recent graduates to join our engineering team as a Design Engineer 1. In this role, you will support engineering design and project execution activities by developing technical drawings, specifications, and engineering solutions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project deliverables from concept development through installation and commissioning.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain practical experience in engineering design, system integration, and project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and modify engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
Support product and system design activities in accordance with project requirements.
Assist with equipment and material selection.
Participate in installation planning and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and project management.
Maintain accurate engineering documentation and design records.
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and design principles.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

Academic or internship experience using engineering tools such as CAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
Familiarity with engineering software such as MATLAB, Python, or SCADA systems.
Understanding of project engineering or system integration concepts.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
