Job Description

As our Operations Intern - Network Strategy, you will be responsible for helping shape the future of how we work with retailer partners to fulfill customer orders. You will support a prioritized strategic initiative, leading exploration, benchmarking, brainstorming, and cross-functional conversations to evaluate and size different options for evolving our fulfillment strategy.

In leading parts of this effort, you will build skills in evaluating strategic and operational options, industry benchmarking, cross-functional collaboration, content creation, and meeting facilitation. You will also gain exposure to different fulfilment ]models and parts of the supply chain, and a deeper understanding of same day delivery logistics and landscape. Finally, you will get exposure to a variety of functional teams, including data science, product, operations, insights, strategic innovation, and more.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

You will evaluate different fulfillment options (including competitive and strategic implications) to drive cross-functional conversation and prioritization of future capabilities.
In addition to a standard suite of tools (slides, spreadsheets), you will use industry reports, news stories, and data systems like Tableau or SQL to develop your point of view and size the potential impact.
You will get exposure to a variety of functional teams, including data science, product, operations, insights, strategic innovation, and more.
By the end of the summer, you will present your findings & recommendations to a group of cross-functional leaders

Skills and Qualification

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree or greater in Organization and Management, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematics and Statistics, ⁠Quantitative Science.
Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, shipping, warehousing, same-day-delivery, or similar type of experience.
You will be curious and structured, excited to evaluate a variety of options and put together a structured overview of the implications, benefits and risks associated with them
Success here will likely be driven by strong business acumen and analytical mindset with the ability to identify metrics and data to back up your strategy, programs, and ideas.
A successful candidate will have a strong comfort with translating insights into clear, executive ready recommendations, with the ability to be able to present that information in a clear and structured way.
Positive, collaborative team-player attitude with data driven approach to problem-solving, and a willingness to go out into stores / complete shopping routes to better understand the way things work.

Compensation

This position is expected to pay $24–$46 per hour.
